Hotel Claremont : Original Hotel Ephemera - "[...] Hotel Claremont, Berkeley, California" [Folder for Music Request]

Original publisher's white, green, and gilt illustrated folder. Folder is unused (no written request on interior panels). Cartoon illustration of Jack Fina printed on front and back (front and back are identical). No date, circa 1948-1950s. 6 3/4" x 3 1/4." Printed on front, back, and interior panels. Folder is very clean and itnact except for slight rippling, slight rubbing to front and back, and minimal wear to extremities (most noticeable along spine). A Very Good copy. An original printed folder in which Hotel Claremont guests can request music by Jack Fina and his band in the hotel's Garden Room. One of the interior panels has a printed message from Jack Fina: "Dear Dancers: The band and I would like to play your request either in the room tonight or on a future broadcast...send it up with 'Jake.' Thanks, Jack Fina." The other interior panel has spaces for writing one's music request, name, and address. Some of the printed text on front and back reads, "Jack Fina, his 'Ten Talented Fingers,' and Orchestra; In the World Famous Garden Room of Hotel Claremont, Berkeley, California; KGO, ABC, Nightly Except Monday." Jack Fina (1913-1970) was an American pianist, composer, and bandleader. Fina's first professional appearance was at Hotel Claremont. Hotel Claremont is a historical hotel that first opened in 1915 in unincorporated Alameda County, California. It is still open to this day as "Claremont Club & Spa, A Fairmont Hotel" in present-day Berkeley and Oakland.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Near Fine (Near Fine). Binding: No Binding
